Michael, what a rare old beauty !! This bowie dates to circa 1902-1905.  One of W.R (William Russell)  Case's  4 sons, John Russell (Russ) Case formed W.R. Case & Son in 1902 with his father's backing. For the first year he was a jobber for knives and began manufacturing his own in 1903. In 1905 the name was changed to W.R. Case & sons. I can't  tell you what the sheath looked, because I can't even find another example of this gem. A very rare and amazing piece of Case history !!

wow thats fantastic John, I was guessing it was from the 20's. Now im going to have to change my story, being that old it would have to be my great-grandfather's knife then. that makes sense he was much more of a hunter and outdoors type. Thanks.
