Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

First let me say that I AM NOT AN EXPERT on the Buck 300 Series pocket knives. I am, however, an enthusiastic collector of them, and in my quest for information I have gleaned a lot of historical data on the series from various online sources. I have saved as much as I could as pdf's, so if you're interested I'll post what I have here. Some of it has been arranged as a spreadsheet, some of it is copied hand written notes, but what is there accurately identifies the numerous models of this series, and when they were made, (at least they identify a time range). I also have pertinent articles, and copied & pasted posts from various forums that specifically deal with the subject. Though some of the info is redundant, comparing specs and various features on the knives has been very helpful in my quest to collect certain models, especially the Camillus Cutlery versions, (my chosen main field of collection).
Since there is a limit on the number of documents I can upload in one posting I'll have to post several back to back posts in order to get all pdf's I have uploaded. I wish I had a concise spreadsheet compiling all of the data, but at this point it is all just various, often redundant, documents.
So, if you are interested in learning more about this series of pocket knives this historical info can help. I have found this data to be invaluable in identifying various models and versions, I hope you find it helpful. No photos for now, just documents, but if you too are a fan and have knives to show in this series please do so.

Here are the first three documents, I'll add separate posts until I get them all uploaded.

On this first document below on this post the first line was the header on a spreadsheet. If you look you can see the correlation with the list below. Sorry for the funky formatting, but it is what it is. Do the best you can with it. Once you figure out the format you will see the rhyme of it, (if not the reason).

Ok, I think that's it, for now. Unfortunately you will have to toggle back and forth between documents if you are researching a particular model, but the information is there if you are persistent.

Enjoy! I said I would post the documents, but I never said they would be easy to interpret. For that you are on your own. I will answer questions as well as I am able, and I will continue to post info here as I find it. Cheers!

Here is a recent post from 300bucks I copied off of BF. Most of the info posted in this thread has been gleaned from various posts and documents he created. This one can be added as "additional 300 Series historical info:

"I could not find my photo of the 303 line up of early models. But, here is a photo of 301s that's an 'almost'. The knife on the left is the first Schrade made 300 with grooved bolster. It was sized the same as the first stamped 301 but had no stamped model number. Lets just all call it the first 301. After that you see a progress of knives, large rivets for Schrade made models, small rivets for Camillus made ( missing one 303 small rivet where you would split hairs by a extra brass liner added in) then on to two Camillus model 303s with no rivets. One with 303 stamped on reverse tang (not shown) and one with 303 on front.
This more likely confuses you than helps. I will see about a decent photo. That warcliff has been sharpened down for certain.

300Bucks

Fourth from right side has a small brass rivet, patina just about hides it."

Here is the photo from his post:

Here is a transcript of tonight's IKC Chat which featured a talk about  the history of Buck Knives.
