I think I posted in the wrong place the first time.

I am looking for information on Case's Texas Lockhorn knives. I have talked to the Case historian, reviewed Jim Sargents' 6th edition, Steve Pfeiffer's book on knives and a few friends. I have not found much information on them.

What do you need to know?

Just looking for any history on them. Variations made, number made and years made, pictures, etc.  I know Tommy Hart came up with the design, made for five years and that's about the extent of what I know.

I like the looks of them and thinking about doing a collection of them.

Thaks Mark, I bought a 1980 but, it had no box or sheath.

Hi fellas,

I have a 1981 Pearl Texas Lockhorn.  Is the above true- that there were only 21 made?  I saw the same on the AAPK site but this looks to be a copy/ paste of that.  Can that information be verified any where else?

Petty excited about have one of only 21!

Kind regards,

Kim

Kim,

Does it say 1981 NKCA BOARD MEMBER or CASE in the center?

According to all I can find, 21 of the ones that say CASE would be correct

anyone know how many were made saying Board Member?

Hi Jan,

It says Case in the center and after more research, I'm certain this is 100% authentic.  It is seriously one of the most beautiful knives I've ever seen.  Wish it was mine.  I love it!

I don't know how many Board Member ones were made in comparison to non- Board Member but that would be nice to find out.

Kim

Kim,

You should be excited.  My information tells me the same thing.  I think there may have been 9 of the members board ones but I have not been able to verify that.  I wonder if Lisa at NKCA can answer that one for us?
