I'm on my second back pocket. I only quit carrying the first  one because I wanted a matched set. Both had no side play and both had the blades centered. I like them there great edc knives. I can see why your upset. I think I would at least give them a call.

Thanks. I understand. I like the knife and i guess i can live with it. the blade is loose in the closed position as well and it does contact the side a little. I can push it over to about center but by it self it goes to one side. Still functions well as a knife should but still bothers me. I know case will always fix it if i send it in but i hate to have to do that. This is the second one i purchased trying to get a tight one. I think there is no perfect knife that's why we have more than one. Thanks for the reply Craig.

I can't tell you about them Jack I don't have a Back Pocket knife, but maybe someone else can. Some knives can have some side play. I'm fussy about it but if it's a small amount I just forget about it. If it bothers you, you can send it to Case and they will tighten it up. Blades not being centered is another common feature of most any brand. That's one niggly thing that doesn't bother me at all unless the blade/s hit the liners. And yes, I have, and had, some high-priced-spread knives that don't have centered blades and have side play.

You are fortunate to get good ones. The back pocket is a great knife to carry as you said. I might give them a call.  Good to know they make good tight ones,  Thanks.

Jack,

Contact Case!  That is not normal

Yeah, that sounds like it's a bit more than average niggly. If I were you I'd send it in to be fixed up by Case. Also when customers do that it shows companies where they might have to correct things in the factory if it gets to be a common problem.

I've never sent a Case knife in to be fixed, but I've heard their service is great.
