Boys don't carry pocket knives anymore- in fact they will get in trouble if they do. In the big cities, guys carry a Blackberry or an iPhones. A lot of guys hardly ever have anything in their pockets- not even coins.

Here we proudly proclaim to be a bona fide, card carrying member of the EDC Club.

Now let's lay the cards on the table for a Show and Tell. What's your knife? Do you swap out or keep the same one day after day? How about a picture added to your reply-

Might not garner too much of glee here, but the one that I carry, everywhere, (except when I'm sleepin), is a Rough Rider, Yellow Comp Whittler. Any time I've got on a belt, I carry my CASE Seahorse Whittler, in a belt pouch. I do, at times, add an extra knife to carry. My "Whittlin Bag" has around 10 or 12 more in it.
I always have at least one knife on me but most of the time I will be carrying two. For EDC purposes I carry a Benchmade Mini Barrage and a Spyderco Delica 4. I often switch between several other knives that I have specifically for EDC such as the Kershaw Blur, Benchmade Mini Griptilian, Benchmade Presidio, Kershaw Scallion and Kershaw Chive. On occasion you will find me carrying my Benchmade Mini Skirmish which is sadly discontinued now.

J. J. Those look like good ones to me. They don't really look used either. You must take good care of them.

Cool. I don't own anything 'cept for the more traditional ones. One day, I'll get me one like you have.

Scott,
I was poking around my photo files and found these two. Both are EDC's from the early 80's. This is the reason that I prefer stainless steel knives. You can relate to the SC summers over in Alabama. They're still good and sharp though,
JJ

Yeah, boy on the heat here. My dad carried an Old Timer. I gave him an H. Boker a couple Christmas' ago, don't know what he's carrying now.

I love the more traditional knives like Case but I see the as more of a collector knife than carry knives. I have a couple Case that I absolutely love and have carried a couple of times. I always smile whenever I see a fellow knife person carrying either kind of knife!

One of my favorite EDC knives lately is a Great Eastern 3 blade snakewood stockman w/ really great stainless blades. It's a little large for the pocket, but it really fits good in the hand, and stays sharp as a razor. It's easy to resharpen, and provides many daily uses. I highly recommend Great Eastern's knives to anyone who appreciates the very best knives made today.
For years I carried a Buck 112. Nowadays I alternate between a medium Case stockman and a Moore Maker sowbelly whittler. The Case is most pocket comfortable, I think of it as 'little Case' and the Moore Maker is 'the big one'. That must make the Buck 'the monster'.

Well in fact I have had a Yellow Trapper(54) in my pocket since I was 9 years old- but please don't ask how many I have LOST- Back then all the boys carryied a knife in thier pocket. I do not change always the same one. I leave all my pocket stuff on the Kitchen Bar, so when I am dressed all the keys, change wallet, and the old Trapper go in to the pocket. Now back when I was flying a lot I would keep it in the Sea Bag with the rest of my working knives and that was Check - in luggage. Man That was a hassle.
If I'm wearing jeans I'll either carry my Spyderco Delica Wave (reasonably small, very easy open using the Wave feature, which catches on the edge of the pocket and flips the knife open - licensed from Emerson) or my Benchmade Griptillian. If I'm in my chino's (as I am Mon-Thu for work) I'll carry any number of smaller knives. Favorites are my Case Jr. Scout, my well worn Laguiole, or one of my smaller Victorninox knives. And a Leatherman Micra. In my laptop bag I'm carrying a Fox MPSK Rescue knife.
I love the Spyderco Delica Wave! I just picked one up myself and will be using it as my EDC for a long time to come!
