White owl sounds like a great name for a scout knife...... I hope. : )

I'm not sure what these knives could be, but the white owl has peaked my interest, but it's just a name right yet.

I fear a Wharncliffe whaler, I think it would be a little strange.

Supposedly, there's a clue to the 61 on the "what's happening" page @ GEC.  I see nothing of the sort (??)

Bass, I can't see anything either. I think it's because I'm stuck staring at those cookies though. : ) Man, they look as good as the knives.

Great Eastern Cookies, superbly hand crafted and baked with true Pennsylvanian natural gas. A must for all knife collectors and cookie lovers.

I would buy this. : )

P.S.

Jan, why didn't we get any cookies at the Rendezvous?

I didn't have an oven?

HaHa, I like that Jan. : )

Next time I'll bring out the Coleman, we'll get something figured out.

Too funny.

The hint mentioned a recurring theme in each picture.....and what's in the majority of the pictures, either a #33 or #46....and these two have what in common..............SWELL CENTER........................am I reaching here or wishfully hoping....but it could be a swell center congress which would look very similar to the Northfolk Pattern.....

right or wrong,a very good observation Jim!

I agree with Bob, I have looked those pics over a couple of times Jim.  Thats sounds mighty smart to me

White Owl is a cigar. Maybe a cigar whittler?

Still hoping for a swell center split spring whittler though.

That is certainly a thought

These all sound like reasonable ideas to me, I wish they didn't but thats okay. I really want to see a camp knife, but I can wait for a perfect one. It's great to see new knives everyday, they are constantly adding knives to their product line.

Jan,

Now I always love a whittler and the clues may be pointing in that direction. But I do think that we might be getting closer to the long awaited camp knife too. It could easily be built on the #53 frame and with the new Blade Forum knife that has the cap lifter/screwdriver we are one or two tools away from having all of the pieces in place. We already have the spear blade, the punch, the cap lifter/screwdriver - now all we need is a can opener to make it similar to the WWII engineer's knives made by Camillus, Ulster and many others. To make it like a Boker or Bulldog camp knife it would need a corkscrew too I guess - I could do without this as I'm not much of a wine drinker and it would just raise the cost of the knife. I think the can opener could be made from a modified small clip blade like on the #57 or the #25 with Wharncliffe main blades. I would sure like to see GEC's take on this pattern!
