You know I dont have much interest in a camp knife but the word is definatley out there and we know they listen and hear us....sooooo, maybe this time

Jan,

I really like my vintage WWII engineer's knives and I should be EDC'ing one of them cause they are already broken in with great patina (Johnny would love them). While the camp type knives don't have the appeal of some of my other GEC favorites like the #72, #56, #54, etc... they are a great utility knife and are incredibly functional. I have noticed that the camp knives have a pretty strong following out there and I know that GEC would do an awesome job with them. I get pretty fired up thinking of a GEC camp knife with some of their more popular handle materials (stag, elk, exotic woods, acryllic)! What Boy Scout wouldn't be proud to own one of GEC's camp/scout knives?! They would be the envy of the whole troop (and the troop leaders too)!

I owned a Imperial scouts knife, it seemed better made then all of the other Imperials I had in the past, the carbon steel was so easy to sharpen and it got scary sharp. That blade reminded me a lot of GEC's 1095, just great all around. I decided that I didn't need another EDC after I had this one. It had been through a lot before I ever got it, but I really liked the knife, mostly because of the blade. Well, it didn't take long for me to loose it, I had a few scout knives after that, but they couldn't touch that first one, it was great.

I have missed that knife for a long time, so I really think GEC could make a great replacement for it. They have great steel and the best bone work of any knife company today. They could really make a killer Camper.
