Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Hi Everyone,

Well we are on our way.  We left Tampa on Monday and had a great drive to Asheville NC where we met Thomas and his wife Kay.  Had a wonderful evening and a real good morning.  Thank you both for the great time.  Yesterday was a beautiful drive through WV (except for the torrential rain) and into PA.  Finally found a hotel about 30 miles from titusville and settled in for good nights sleep.  Going to be up and going here soon, cant wait to see all the sights in and around titusville :).  If I can make this wonderful old laptap do its magic tonight I will load in pics and keep everyone informed on whats going on up here for the open house.  I hope ya'll have a great day

AT&T seems to be experiencing some issues, had to hook this up to the free wifi at the hotel. Pain in the ***!!!!
Had a great day went to GEC, met Chris and Bill and the factory folks. Had a factory tour led by Ken, amazing place. You don’t realize what hand made is until you find out that 119 steps to make a single blade knife means 119 stations, run by a hand full on well trained employees. You would be impressed!!
Went to Tidioute, stopped by the hardware store and talked with the owner for a long time. Real nice man. Stopped by the Caboose Motel, too cool.
Went to Dinner with Ken, Chris and her daughter Nikki. Had a blast. Took Ken in my truck and after that Donnie was nice enough to take the front tag off (LOL)
Will try you tomorrow..Going to run over to New York, see some old factories and there is 150 booth flea market type place there :)
Take Care

Well ya'll will be impressed with the Mink (66 pattern). It was unveiled today and I love it...Had a nice crowd show up today, seemed to come in in 2,4,6 people at a time which was nice because everyone got to go on tours with small groups. I do not think I saw anyone leave without buying at least one knife. Met some new folks, 2 young men came in from Colorado and saw some we already had met. Ken M. seems to have have had a great fishing trip before he came here. Did not make it to New York, had some friends from FL. join us here for the day. Cant get this system to let me put the pics on, will have to find another way, thinking on that idea. See if I can make it happen tomorrow

DID YOU HAVE A ILLEGAL TAG ON THE FORD...LOL

Max,
She has too many hats to name!! I did get more pics today of Chris and newly married daughter Nikki. I also got some of Bill working the water grinder and some others. In order to download I have to disconnect the mouse and bring in about 200 then delete the first 150 LOL. But I will try to get them tonight or tomorrow morning.
David Anthony and his wife were a joy to meet. He brought some old Northfield and Tidioutes, man was I jealous. Great crowds today, steady tours until late in the day. Weather is gorgeous.
Came back to the Caboose Motel, had a pizza and read the first 42 pages of the new book, You gotta read it!!!!
I had a GREAT time meeting everyone. I wished I could have stayed longer. Jan and his wife are super people and very knife savy. He beat me out on a nice UNION Cutlery Olean NY razor, and I found a nice STANDARD KNIFE CO. pocket knife to brag about. I will call it even. HA HA HA . What a good time my wife and I had. Nice people and lots of great knives to admire. Make plans for next year folks and enjoy the fun for yourself.
WELL JUST MEET DONNIE AND JAN IN COLUMBUS NC ,NOW THEIR ON THE ROAD TO FLA .SAID THEY WILL POST EVERYTHING WHEN THEY MAKE IT..THEY SAID THEY ENJOYED MEETING AND HAD A BLAST...
Well Max, I made it home. Saturday was good and busy at the show. Sorry to say goodbye to everyone. Sunday on the road somewhat early, made it to Bristol TN just before the rain and with two razors. A H Boker and a Old Camillus :). Stayed at a wondeful old motel. Monday, went on to Sevierville and a stop at Smokey Mountain Knives. Picked up a 07, 2 blade, 73 stained green tea, got it for a song and man is it pretty. Wemt on through Gatlinburg and down to Cherokee where we spent a few hours playing with the baby bears. Met Tom and Kay in Columbus NC went on to Columbia SC and spent the night. This morning we headed south with a stop in Brunswick GA to see Donnies cousin. Showed him the GEC's and he says to send him one so he can cut the blades out of his old Case knives. Sending one soon. He really likes the 73l single blade. Bad news max, the camera was having so much fun in GA it decided to stay another day. Will be here by snail mail soon. I knew we should have turned around and given Roy the yellow rose in the case, would have remembered the camera. All in All one heck of a marvelous trip, good friend on the way and more when we got there. Could not have been a better birthday trip for Donnie. Dont give up on the pics, something more to look forward to.
David,

Donnie and I sure wish that the two of you had had time to go junk shopping with us. We picked up an H.Boker "red Injun" razor and a old Camillus with the yellow bamboo handles. No cracks, 1 tiny chip on the boker handle. Tangs are clear and 20 apeice!! We had a great time........Jan
