Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Not sure how many of you can make the Spirit of Steel Show in Knoxville, TN coming up, November 5, 6 and 7 but it just came to my attention that there are a pair of pretty incredible Great Eastern Knives being offered at auction.  The knives were donated by Great Eastern Cutlery and the procedes are going to the National Knife Museum.

You can bid onlne if you're interested by going to the Spirit of Steel Website.
www.spiritofsteel.com  I'd really like to see the two knives up  close.  When you realize how big the slabs of Mammoth Ivory are on those Sunfish, they have to be pretty dramatic.  Bidding is going to be separate for each knife.

John,
Nothing like adding to a collection and that knife sounds like a wonderful find. Glad you met up with Gary. Send pics when you can, waiting to see the new onw!!
A few pictures of the show in Knoxville. A great turn out. Lots of custom knives to choose from. That would be Gary Kennedy in the white shirt. Really enjoyed meeting a fellow iKC member.

Here are a few of the knives I was able to buy at the show. Got the coke bottle Ka-Bar club knif for only 40.00! was well worth the 600 mile round trip. The older Ka-Bar and the darker jigged bone bone Ka-Bar were a tuff bargin but I managed to barter a fair price. The lighter stag Ka-Bar-Low I bought from Gary Kennedy. He really delivered on the quality of the knives I bought from him. Saw pictures of the five knives before driving down but the pictures didn't do them justice.

John,

Nice peices..Good work. Sure wish we had been able to go but its a long way from FL. We do most of our trips the first 1/2 of the year. PS 40.00 was a steal
Great pics JH, looks like a great time, maybe I'll have to make the trip to the show some year.
Awesome knives
Thanks Jan. If you evver come across any Ka-Bar Club knives let me know, of course I would expect to pay no more than $40.00! just joking. nice chatting with you.
Thanks for looking at the pics. You have to try and make the show next year. great people and great knives.
Thanks John

Jan, I was not there on Sunday so I am not sure what they went for. They were a wonderful set of knives. Wish I had enough extra money to put in a reasonable bid on them but afraid not. I will upload some pictures of the show when I have a little more time. I was able to add to my Ka-Bar collection. I did a little buying and a little trading. Found a 1980's Ka-Bar Club knife, coke bottle with a sweet handle. Paid only 40.00! it was the find of the show for me.
Met with Gary Kennedy, he's got a sweet collection, thanks Gary, the knives I got from you made the trip so worth it!
HI everyone here is a few pictures I took of the show
