The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
Okay guys, I'm sure that you guys have done something like this before, but I would like to start something here. I'm going to request to see a pattern or handle material, whoever answers that request with a pic of what I wanted to see will then get to ask for a pic of something GEC they want to see.
I think we can go far in this, even getting a little more creative in our pics requests.
So, I would like to see a #28 French Kate. : )

Do I have to buy one and share a pic myself????
Because I would love to have to do that. : )
Johnny,
I just realized that I don't think that I took pics of my Kate's. Will try to get on that and post them.
Darn, I don't have a French Kate either!
I need a better pic of this Furtaker, I did a little patina work on it and I took it to work for a few days. It looks better now, I think. Got rid of that shine and gave it some healthy use, I think it will transform into a very classic looking trappers knife before too long.
Okay, how about a #53 stockman.
awww, Johnny a 53 AND a beavertail...You make me happy!!!!!
Someone show that man a #53 Stockman!!!!
Awesome Tom, can't wait to see a #54 now, these are beautiful knives.
Johnny,
No one has any #54's to post? I just picked up this one recently. I have six total I think (2 are Bulldog Brand but are made by GEC). I will try to get them all together for a group picture when I get a chance - even if they are out of sequence. I wish GEC would make more of this pattern. Don't know why they haven't - maybe too much potential for blade wobble?
Johnny,
Here is my collection of #54 Whittler/Stockman. I have one or two Big Jack's and Moose's in the #54 pattern but these are the Whittlers. Pardon the poor pictures. It's hard to capture them without some natural light. The Tractor Green does not show up well - pictures don't do it justice. It was one of my first Northfields/GEC's and will always be one of my favorites.
All of those are beautiful Tom, but the winner is the stag. Very pretty knives my friend, those dog bone shields are awesome, something very cool about them. Ohh and the slanted bolsters look great too. I don't have a #54 yet, but I'm getting there, I just can't get past the patterns I already love.
