I may be all washed up but with existing clues and knowns along with a couple of mine, do you think it could be?

 

1) 4 3/8"

2) Pen and Spear opposite ends

3) Swell Center

4) Page 33

5) Pattern #46

 

And a couple from me although I could be wrong....

 

1) Think #26, #36, #46 pattern

2) A whale in the ocean in simplist term be called ?

3) When you hear someone get excited and Say it was a Whaler..... What is the word that comes into mind?

 

I like the name.....

LOL, mostly he was nosing me on the way home ( he's a two year old choc lab).  I have some pics and stories but just walked in the door about 30 mins ago.210.00 was the price of the show knife.  It was a gimme that with GEC successes in the past two years someone was bound to ebay while the iron was hot.  I wish I could say they would donate the proceedes but I am sure the wont.  That would have been too rich for my pockets also.

Jan, Oops (open mouth and insert foot). I'm going to blame that one on my ever increasing senility! I must have misread one of your old posts to totally get that confused - sorry about that! My kids act like two year old choc labs - actually more like Springer Spaniels but they are 11 and 14. I've got a 29 year old too but he is much more calm these days! I'm going to fetch some Geritol with Ginkgo!

I can just see them springing around in the back seat like a spaniel.  I hope my 24 year old calms down soon!!

By the way Guys,

The clue that the knife was on page 33.  The book was "The knife makers that went West"

I Have never read this one, but it looks VERY interesting
