Hmm, maybe the 45.

It has a ton of history and it's a hard caliber for me to nock. I enjoy the 9mm though, another great cal.

I guess I'll go with the 45. a true hero cal. to a lot of great folks.

My favorite is 44 special, but I shoot more 357 than anything. I reloaded 2000 rounds of 357 last year and dont have much to show for it.

Ain't it funny how that happens.

We reloaded a lot and it seemed it was never enough. Someone was always shooting it away.

I like the 44 and 45 colt loaded  to push a 210 - 225 at around 1000 fps. Comfy enough for all day shooting and  still enough impact to leave a mark.

Mine are .45 suto and .357 mag. I shoot mostly .38 special out of my .357 revolvers.

I have the new Ruger SR 1911 .45 auto, 100% made in the USA and no plastic parts. It's a very basic 1911-built like a tank with no Jams so far in 230 grain hardball. I guess the .45 230 grain is my favorite, but you have to love the power of the 44 mag!

I only shoot one calibre other then rimfire and that's the .41 Rem Mag which I have S/A and D/A revolvers in by Freedom Arms, Smith & Wesson, Ruger, Taurus and an old Dan Wesson pistol pac.

I just got for my 60th birthday a Chiappa Rhino 5" in .357 mag

I am considering buying a 10mm semi Nobilta with a matching D/A revolver by Korth both from Germany and I'll check them out this July when I'm over there.

If the .41 mag was the only center fire cartridge pistol made, the only real reason or need  for other  rounds being invented would be to sell more guns to curious guys like us.  I know, I know, one morning  last safari you needed that   Casull necked up to .80 cal when you shot that rabid musk yak in your pajamas. Next time keep them out of your pajamas.

I am a bit disable so I shoot a smaller caliber handgun. The 32. Mag. revolver seems to take care of all my needs in a hand gun. I have found that by down sizeing I can hit alot more than some of the guys with larger calibers. There is a wide range of loads to chose from and it is easy to reload.

I fired the .32 mag before and had fun with it.  I believe my friend had an old Mauser-that was a .32 semi auto that we used to like as well.

I agree with you the .32 H&R mag and especially the new .327 Federal are great cartridges.

My octogenarian in-laws switched from a Charter Arms .44 Special Bulldog (he) and a .357 Mag Pug (she) (both Crimson Trace versions) to .32 H&R and gave the guns to my sons-in-law.

They did so for the lessened recoil, sound signature and muzzle flash but I think primarily for the lessened weight.

Four of my daughters have switched their EDC from various S&W .357 Rem mag compact models to S&W #632  in .327 Federal and love them.

We happen to be revolver not semi auto pistoleros.

I have yet to try the .327, but I'm sure I'll get around to it soon.

I'm against too much gun and I know a lot of people get caught up in that talk of having to shoot through walls and all of the "tactical" advantages of having a bigger caliber firearm.
