Saw this and had to post it.  If it isn't the worst handgun ever, it would definitely be a contender for the title.  What's your opinion?  And would you consider it for your wife (or yourself if you are a lady)?

TERRIBLE design!

Kinda like these odd ducks.  The wife gave me a Cobray double barrel pistol, years ago. 45 long colt & .410.

Kicks like all git-out, but fun.

Charles, I'm pretty sure the worst handgun ever made and adopted for service by a country's military is the Japanese Type 94 Nambu.

That thing you showed isn't really a pistol except the manufactured decided to call it one so they could legally sell it.  It is really more of a joke!

I had to look this one up

The Type 94 pistol was designed for, and popular among, Japanese tank and aircraft crews who preferred a smaller, lightweight design. Japanese weapons experts have subsequently criticized some design elements of the Type 94; in particular the pistol could be fired unintentionally before the breech was fully locked if the sear bar on the side of the receiver was jarred loose and the pistol was improperly handled. Additionally, the process to disassemble the pistol is overly complex and awkward. The build quality of the Type 94 pistol declined over its production run; "last ditch" pistols made in 1945 were crudely manufactured...seems a bad design that just continued to get worse through out its manufacturing lifetime??

JJ,

First off, very cool that your wife bought you a pistol!

LOL, I had to look this one up also

While the sights seem crude, they are accurate at close range with most loads. These pistols don’t have ejectors so it can be a bit tricky to retrieve spent hulls and cases from full power loads. I recommend bringing a wooden dowel to the range or a pocket knife at the very least to ease in their retrieval.

ANOTHER REASON TO OWN A POCKET KNIFE!!!

I had an old Marlin .45-70 lever gun years back, and it was a real monster to shoot; can't imagine a more scary round to put into a handgun. It kicked so bad I didn't like shooting it, and as a deer rifle it was overkill, so I bought a .243.  Maybe not the worst handgun ever, but definitely a contender.
