The BK2 I got from my Bro-n-law had the basic Plastic sheath and flimsy Nylon Belt loop.

I could improve it.

I have tons of 301 1/2 hardened Stainless steel and I generate a lot of scrap. So finding a 2" wide x 11" long piece was not difficult. I wish I could have found a piece that was .040 thickness, but I found a piece of .050 that was 2" x 12".

After sketching up my desired product:

I took the sketch and piece of steel to my best toolmaker. Sadly I didn't get any pictures of the steel after bending, I decided on the dimensions above because I wanted to re-apply the nylon webbing over the top of the Steel. That just took a little bit of Epoxy and overnight pressure.

I was using/considering a TekLok device for the sheath, but it rode to high on the hip for me. So I scavenged the Chicago bolts from it to fasten the stiffened belt loop to the existing KaBar Sheath Device.

The total weight of the of the Knife & sheath is now 1.5 lbs.
