The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
I like anything that combines knives and guns. This knife has a gunstock shaped handle and has a LED flashlight attached. It was given to me by my sister.
The handles are wood and appear to be laminated. Apparently the manufacturer has not assigned it a model number. There is no marking on the box or knife to indicate one. The folks at FlashlightMuseum.com have one of these.
The blade is spring loaded. Pushing the upper button causes the knife to pop open. The blade locks open and is closed by pushing and holding the upper button while closing the blade. The lower button is a lock. Pushing it up locks the knife. Pushing it down unlocks it. I have never been able to get the flashlight to burn. There is a little battery in the light which must have already been dead by the time the knife got to me. I assume you turn the flashlight off and on by twisting the knurled lens ring. There is no other mechanism to turn on the light.
Despite what it says on the box and on the knife, I have to believe it was made in China.
Zeng Yao just does not sound like an American company!

I have its bigger brother, i.e. a penny drops through the finger loop / cigar cutter thingie.
I ordered mine directly from China via AliExpress.
Interesting switchblade .. useless flashlight.
The slightly larger unit that I sourced came w/o the slot in the blade & I removed the "sawteeth" from the spine of the blade. I also removed the flashlight & the associated "mounting portion" of the frame. The result was a gunstock auto. I'll see if I can snap & post a pic.
The blade steel is hardly D2 ..but.. it is respectable.
You are correct about country of origin I'm pretty certain Super knife is trademark used by Rite Edge for its tactical lines. (not 100% sure)
I would a gun that looks like a flashlight ,opens up to see if your sister cut yourself with it already.
