CFK Custom Sport Knife

This is my CFK Custom Sport Knife, a general purpose tool just right for anything - game included. Similar to the Mossberg MSG9899 General Purpose Hunter in overall size and design, the CFK Custom Sport features materials such as AUS-8 tool steel, Sheep's horn scales, mosaic pins, and jimping. And it comes with a full grain leather sheath. Simple in it's design and loaded with value-add features, this baby handles as good as it looks. And for the record - yea...it trimmed up that beef brisket just fine!

Well it's been a while since I added to my knife collection with a new CFK purchase....hours I think....so I thought I would show off my latest 2022 addition. This is the CFK Custom Trailing Point Skinner, a sleek carver about the size of a Buck 110 folder. For me, this skinner has the goods - Sheep's horn scales with mosaic pins, stainless steel bolsters, and a full tang D2 tool steel trailing point blade. Added touches include a swedge, jimping on the blade spine (I like that!), and decorative filing art on the upper tang spine. 

What I noticed first when I put the blade to beef brisket is the seamless transition between the handle materials when holding it. Smooth, smooth!

Very nice Lars!

I am a sucker for those natural handle materials myself.  My personal tastes dont seem to run toward that upswept persian flair, but it does  make for a nice looking knife.  Very cool addition!

CFK Damascus Steak Knife - "Zebra"

What's this....another CFK steak knife? Better believe it! I don't think one can have too many steak knives. But then I think that of any knife. 

A nice Damascus blade, I noticed after cleaning it that when the light hits the blade just right, the pattern struck me as Zebra stripes - so that's what I call this one...my Zebra steak knife.Together with the camel bone handle, it makes a wonderful show piece at the steak house. And yes - the steaks do taste better when you use your own knife!

CFK Texas Hunter

This is my 2021 Texas Hunter, a general purpose hunting knife from CFK. Although I have not actually taken this model out for hunting, I have used it to slice up some of our own home-cured bacon....and oh baby, this is nice!

Well it's been a while since I or anyone else posted somethng here for CFK / iPAK knives, but the 2024 iKC Calendar sort of makes up for that. Looks like the CFK / iPAK class is sporting 3 separately owned beauties within a single publication. We have Miss January - a real beauty of a bone handle skinner; Miss April - another beautiful skinner from iPAK, and Miss December - that georgeous sheeps horn fighter on a field of copper ore - always a crowd pleaser!

Well done collectors for making the 2024 iKC Calendar...prof's to you!
