Howdy, Riley!

It appears to be a pre-1983 C. Bertram Hen and Rooster stockman with stag handles. The blades all appear to be very full. If it is an authentic Hen & Rooster it would be a highly collectible knife.

Carl Bertram made knives in Germany from roughly 1864 to 1983 in Solingen, Germany. This is the period in which your knife was likely produced. Since 1983 Robert Klaas has made these knives mainly in Germany (I've seen some from Spain) for Frost Cutlery. Your knife is considerably more valuable than these later offerings.

What else are looking for in regard to this knife?

Bear in mind that my comments are broad generalizations based upon my amateur assessment of a photograph. I might have a better idea of what you have if I were able to hold it in my hand and thoroughly scrutinize all of its markings? Then again maybe not? lol

I'm really wanting to know how much I could sell this knife for

This knife...any knife...is only worth what an interested party would be willing to pay for it. No more...no less.

To a Hen and Rooster collector this knife "might" be worth a King's ransom? To me, not so much.

Sorry. That's the best I can give ya.

**Also. Please note the edited version of my original post**

Riley, good pictures of the tang stamps would help to verify it.

Riley, all of what Ron and Charles told you is correct---However, like Charles said,  good close up pics of the tang stamps would be necessary to date it further. The hen & rooster image  changed over the years and a good picot two can resolve this. Here is a link to show you what I mean-http://iknifecollector.com/group/knifechicks2/forum/topics/hen-roos...

The blade images are kind of dark in your photo, so it is hard to judge the overall condition of your knife.  In fine condition, as a ballpark figure, a pre-1983 stag H&R stockman can go for $200-$300  or more. Without further pics, I can't tell you much more.Earlier versions can command more.---But, as Ron said, your knife is only worth what a collector will pay for it. If you can provide some more pics, I can try and give you a more accurate price range.

Here's the stamp on the knife

Does this help identify it??

That tang stamp looks to me like the one used from 1983 to the present.  Someone more knowledgeable than me might confirm or disagree with me.  How about it John McCain?

Nope, it is 1975-1980--- When A.G. Russell owned the company-- The C. Bertram on the other blade was a stamp he used in that time frame-- A.G. answered this in another forum a while back.---The ones marked C. Bertram "CUTLERY" are the post 1983 ones after Frost bought the company--- Frost also put shields on the knives, which the pre-1983 knives didn't have.  Still don't have a real good pic to tell the overall condition-- But the blades appear full--- If in fine condition probably a $300-$400 dollar knife- A.G.  also said in another old post I came across, anything under $300 for a stag H & R from this time period is a gift. Once again, prices are based on condition and what the buyer is willing to pay. Riley, BTW, A.G. Russell is a member of IKC !!

The blades are in good condition thanks for helping me out you guys
