Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Saturday morning Sue and I took a walk along the canal, this is the Shropshire Union not far from where I live. what a lovely morning lot's of Hawthorn blossom out this year , also called May blossom because of the time of year that it flowers. Wonderful to feel a little warmth in the sun again after a long winter.

The 18th.c was the main building period for our canals , the roads were so poor at the time that

"Narrow boats " although towed by a single horse were considered to be express delivery ! A little history for anyone interested ,  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shropshire_Union_Canal .

Quite a lot of boats about today which we thought a little strange with the weather being so good.
