Yea Craig, a few years ago I had to get all new calibers and guns. I traded in my .270 Cal. for a 7mm/08 Cal. I also got rid of my regular 12 Ga. for a Browning 12 Ga. over/under Golden Feather. It's not a Feather Light or their other light weights. A Golden Feather is a special gun. It's very light but also has hardly any kick. The $$$ for one is high but my wife and friends bought it for me. My friends, paid for half and she paid the other half.
I am not as good a shot as I once was but I still do okay. You just can't give up when things get bad. I just keep on trying.
Wow, sorry to hear that Robert! And I thought I had arm and wrist troubles! I can see why you went to something with a lot less kick!
Thanks Craig for your concern but I have a lot of injuries. I've had 8 surgeries on just my arms. The count of major surgeries all together is 11, with 17 in all. The kick of the gun you mentioned might be to much. I had to tune down all my guns, to be comfortable for me. That gun sounds great though...
Have you tried a Ruger SP101 .357 with 3" barrel Robert? I loved mine. It's small and pretty light. Cass shot it once and hated it because of the kick! LOL! But I just have her put .38s in it when she used to shoot it. But I liked it, and a gun kicking never bothered me.
And I'm kind of in the same boat as you. My right elbow is shot and my left arm has about half as strong because of nerve damage in my neck before my operation. So I can't shoot any hand guns that are heavy......like my 7 1/2" barrel 44-40 Vaquero and others.
Those are great Charles. I had to stop at the .32 Mag. Single Six, because of my cripple arms. I can't hold up a heavier gun and beable to control it. I'd love a .357 Mag. but it's just too heavy. I can really pop with the two calibers I own.
Craig, it was a long time ago, but Hunters Haven sure sounds familiar. I believe it was.
I love Rugers! I used to kinda collect them, once upon a time.
Ken, Was that Hunter's Haven you went to in Alexandria, VA?? I used to drive down there all the time when we lived in Maryland. Got some great deals there!
Charles, looks like you are a Ruger Man - those guns are hard to beat.
Rugers are great guns. I have these Rugers.

Robert, yes my Ruger is convertible also. I bought it at an Alexandria, VA gun shop in 1967 when I got back from Vietnam. Great gun.
