Pictures - The Good, the Bad & the Ugly(if you can find an Ugly PAUL knife)

So as not to inundate iKC with too much content, let us keep the pictures to 750 pixels and below.

I will start with this 2010 Limited Edition Defender. It was my first Defender purchase, Black Nitride Frame/ Blade/Clip, Ambonya Scales and Gold plated Axial lock and hardware. 012 of 100.

That Passion stone is just an amazing material on a great knife!

Stanley,

What is the size on this one?

The Doug Ritter Presto collaboration, recurve S30V blade & Silver 3D Carbon Fiber scales. Very nice Stanley.

My first and favorite Paul knife.  It is definitely in my top five list.

Looks to be the the LW equivalent of the "Executive". It the next size down from the "Protector". You can't go wrong with Carbon fiber. />

This is a benchmade Paul knife.  Carbon composite handles.  It is very much like another one I saw in the discussion

Stanley, can you get a picture of all 3 together, so we can gauge the sizes? I would like to see how big that Gerber is.

I will take the picture.  Just measuring them open, I get:

1. Doug Ritter - 5.75"

2. Carbon Composite - 5.875"

3. Gerber II model 2 - 6.25"

However #3 is much wider at about 0.875".  The other two are about 0.6875".  I might add I have seen many more #3's than the other two, and it is generally less expensive.

Here is the picture I promised yesterday showing my Paul knives in order 1 on top, 2 in the middle, and 3 on the bottom.

Hopefully you see the difference in the size of them.  I really like these knives; they are among my favorites in my collection.  I hope to get one or two more.  Anyone have any suggestions?  The other knives shown in this discussion are magnificent.

I was mistaken about the Ritter, you have the larger Prankster. Very nice indeed. That Gerber looks Luke tank compared to the 2 above, magnificent start on your Paul collection. To add to it is going to be costly, but there are excellent examples on eBay.

My latest Paul.  It is a Lone Wolf Prankster with Cocobolo handles.  I love it.

That is a beauty and Cocobolo is by far my favorite wood for handles. It is warm and attractive.

Very nice! I don't yet have a defender ... but one is on my "wish list." I really like the clean, simple elegance of this ltd ed.
