Me too, although my wife made me buy the lock back in the Diamond Jim serie last Friday because she liked the boot that came with it. I'll get pics posted in a couple of days.

Another check mark in the "BOTH" column.

Billy, I dont think I have seen that one.

I mostly buy RR as gifts and the folks that get them, use them

For me it,s both i use and collect them. i think RR knives are the best buy in pocketknives anywhere.I also like the Colt line and currently have a Colt teardrop jack in brown stag bone. my usual EDC linerlock single blade trapper with yellow handles. I like Case,GEC and queen knives but on my budget i cannot afford them.Ps Jan i met you on saturday morning coming out of Buddy Freddys in plant city i was with some pals heading to the Gator show.

Thank you Craig, Billy,JJ, Jan and Robert, I f I am doing the math right so far I have 4 both and 1 use.

Keep them coming Rough Rider Fans ...Rough Rider wants to Know!

Robert,

Yes I remember, I was very excited.  I got in the truck and told Donnie :Thats Robert Benton, he is on the site".  I looked for you at the show but didnt see you.  Did you pick anything up at the show?

Both for me. I mostly collect them, but have also carried them and used them some.

I took a Rough Rider Stockman to India with me as I was worried my Buck 301 Stockman might get confiscated or something. I ended up giving it to someone there. I told him I would give it to him, but not until my last day there, because I couldn't be left without a pocketknife on me. Then as I was sightseeing the Taj Mahal, the security was going to take it from me, but I could leave the long line and go all the way back to the car in the parking lot, or go half the way back to some security office where they could check it in for me, so I did that.

So I will tell you if you travel to foreign countries, go with a Rough Rider and not your precious EDC.

What a great story Sunil yes I guess we could say its a good give away or sacrificial piece!

I mostly collect them.  I have used a few but my EDCs are Swiss Army Knives.  I have no illusions of their value but they are still some of the best global made traditional out there.  And when I have used them, they have done an outstanding job.  Bo complaints here.  But then I like 'em so much I have a web site about them!

Yes we are getting a lot of boths so I guess that is good, perhaps it means the brand is versatile and remains popular. I am just recording the votes though! Someone else can interpret the results!

Luckily Rough Riders are in that category where you can buy 2 of each. One to use & one for the collection.

Thanks Brad that's a both! Affordability the key there I guess!
