I have no clue - These guys here in the US kind of keep that imformation to themselves. It would be interesting to find out - I think we know that one plant must build more than one brand.

Looks like the same deal we had with Japan back in the 60's - back then the Japan made knives were called Jap Crap - Now it's a whole different story -

 

There are still some real haters out there -  many of the guys AAPK forum is the worst of the worst - Even the moderators talk Rough Riders down  -

I pretty much stopped reading AAPK and Blade Forums because of the blind hatred for anything Chinese made and the on-going rant about child/slave labor etc.    I can understand political opposition but that has little to do with knife quality and it also fails to factor in the number of Americans  who make a living because this "Chinese Junk" is getting sold here.

 

The politics of Chinese made products is far more complicated than Greedy American politicians and businessmen. The fact that you could only buy quality made American knives for only about 100 years also seems to be lost on the "America Only"  crowd.  Even During WWI a good chunk of knives used by the U.S. Military came from over seas.

 

Back in the 1800s American who sought quality made knives bought English or German knives, not "American Made Junk".  Many of America's famous knife makers were first American companies renowned for importing quality German or English knives.   It was oppressive Tarriff laws that incited these knife importers to hire knife makers from Sheffield and Solingen and relocate them to America to oversee  local knife production.  Had this not happen, the American knife industry may have developed quite differently.

 40% of my business comes from the guys at the blade forum! - Guys that actually buy or have me do work for them - I haven't experience any problems there personally - Less than 2% of my hits on my web site is generated from the AAPK - It would actually be less than that now since I rarely go there. I haven't looked lately.

Perhaps .. these folks .. scroll through their product line .. items 41~48, 82~85, 90, 92, 94, ....... and check out listing 114 .. see below ... also, check out the available options. Essentially .. any scale matl .. any stamp .. your design if you've got one .or.  they'll design it for you. Twenty five yrs manufacturing .. 2 plants .. have met international standards EN71 and ASTM-D4236 for manuf .......

if you click on the picture of knives that billy down loaded it tells you who they make knives for and many of them is in your collections.one of them they even print usa on them...

This isn't an anti "Made in China forum" . Tobias is correct in his statement - I would request that James remove himself from this forum - there are plenty of anti China made knive forums out there to join in on - Maybe the AAPK Forum would be a better chouice for you.Why you would join in here is beyond me - unless you just want to stir the pot - not acceptable - you can always start a new forum here to express your views -
