Comment by Tobias Gibson on October 26, 2013 at 14:09: Brad, I'm in the same boat as you. I don't own a single firearm but I'm looking at getting one. As for AR, I've fired an AKM, an M16, and a German G-3. All considered assault rifles. I know many will say otherwise, but I preferred the M16.

As for buying a rifle... I ghope to get a Henry Lever Action in the near future. That is my dream.

Now if I could get a pre ban papered Colt AR that would be a different story.

Wow Brian! I don't think I could fire 43 rounds in one session out of my .38 snub. Of course it is an Airweight and my hand absorbs most of the recoil. There is no danger of breaking my wrist with it but after 43 rounds, I would definitely have a sore hand.
