In my opinion the Remington 870 shotgun is as good a pump shotgun as there is.

Unfortunately thats not an untypical price for .22 ammo now (if you can find it at all.)

He had 2 boxes left, of 100 each. They were $30.00 a box. He had sold 98 boxes before I got there. I was shocked at the price. I am still shocked. What's the price for a 100 box of quality 22's in ya'll area?

right now buy and sell would certainly be the way to cover the cost of having some of your own. IF you can find it
