Believe it is a butter and molasses handle although not the schrade style of celluloid which is where the name came from IMO. Beautiful, I have a weakness for these every time I find them.

It may be butter and Molasses but seems a bit dark for it to me.  Regardless it is a sweet one!

Brent- the handle material is celluloid- I have an old Hammer Brand with celluloid handles, with a very similar color scheme.
