From where I'm sitting it's already too pretty to take out of the house for anything other than a photo op! What a nice job you've done so far! I can hardly wait to see it once you make that grain pop!

This is a hatchet that I am presently building. Found the high quality german steel head in Solvenia. I'm hanging an 18" octagonal hickory handle on it .I can't decide to stain it or just use boiled linseed oil. . I want to high polish it. The head is just resting on the handle but I'll post pics when I finish. I hope it doesn't end up to pretty for the woods. Ha,Ha,Ha.
