The "Exotic" Wood Pocket Ulu is simply a version 2 with a set of laminated wood scales and a thumb stud. Much more comfortable than the "Sportsman" model, it feels good in hand. Very sharp, like all the rest.
My only complaint, with this little fellow, is the wood reminds me of "Frostwood". Really, it's Dymondwood, and why can't they just simply dye them in compatible colors, and go from there?

Nothing inherently wrong with the material, basically a wood based product similar in manufacture to micarta, but red, green and yellow?  Come on.

The earthwood is drop dead beautiful compared to what's often seen on these scales.

J.J.- I feel your pain- Never been a fan of Frostwood or Dymondwood, but even Case had their go with this- They called theirs Earthwood--Mine is a 1986 4 dot E-254SS trapper with a Lightning "S" tang stamp-Not as  outrageous a color combo-- but stiill paakawood by yet another name-

Not these, Jan. Handle is roughly 1.5 x 3 inches.  Wanted to illustrate whats out there.

There are some nice options, though, that look good.

would that size fit on the knife?

For some reason, Jan, it appears that this handle materal is used quite a lot by different Alaskan makers, for their knives.

Even with the UA scales, I like this one better than the sportsman version...

I agree on the wood JJ, why not different shades of the same color even LOL

I am very glad it fits better in your hand though
