These elegant knives are the perfect pocket accessories. Nak-Lok® locking mechanism. Crowned blade spine and thumb-stud opener; Hollow ground S30V stainless steel utility blade (58-60HRC). Black G10 & stabilized wine wood handle with MIM custom file work backspacer and stainless steel black nickel plated hardware. 6AL-4V blue anodized titanium liners.
Design by Seiichi Nakamura. Engineering was his life’s work until he retired to focus his efforts on a passion for custom knife work. He specializes in small Japanese style folders, gentlemen’s carry and jewelry knives. His eye for artistry and mechanical engineering make him a perfect fit for the innovative Benchmade team. This knife was Knife of the Year 2008 by the IWA (International Knife Award). The press statement released by the IWA 2008 Outdoor Classics media department reported the knife as “Excellent for anyone looking for really timeless elegance and perfect technical design. This is the model for the true gentleman. The unanimous vote of the jury stated the SHOKI as “A knife that impresses with it’s extravagant style and design.”
