Introduced in 1897, the Type 30 bayonet was manufactured from 1987 to 1945, with an estimate ~8,400,000 being produced.

The Arisaka Type 30 bayonets were produced in 18 distinct manufacturing patterns, and comprise of over 50 variations within those patterns.

Here are three of the 18 patterns representing four variations. From Left to Right, and Top to Bottom:

C. 1925: Type 30 Japanese bayonet for Type 38 Arisaka Rifle; Tokyo Arsenal

C. 1940/41: Type 30 Japanese bayonet for Type 38/99 Arisaka Rifle; National Denki under Kokura Arsenal supervision

C. 1942/43: Type 30 Japanese bayonet for Type 38/99 Arisaka Rifle; Toyoda Jidoshoki Seisakusho under Nagoya Arsenal supervision

C. 1944: Type 30 Japanese bayonet for Type 38/99 Arisaka Rifle; Toyoda Jidoshoki Seisakusho under Nagoya Arsenal supervision
