The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
This is the Serengeti Bowie by Ash Blades. While similar in overall appearance to the Plainsman Bowie, only the blade style is the same. The brass knuckle bow on this model is rigid in its appearance and lacks the soft rounded edges the Plainsman Bowie has.
The Serengeti Bowie features a straight-back “tiered” blade (for lack of a proper blade style) with a long straight cutting edge, a solid brass cross guard with a 1/3 knuckle bow, and a brass pommel. The handle is Cape buffalo horn and Black Walnut.
Although I have not tried this knife on game yet, it feels like the knuckle bow would be a nuisance and actually get in the way, but it performs very well as an all-purpose camp knife, chopper, or bushcraft knife.

Thanks Tim....always nice to have someone oooh and aahhh over a blade.
According to Ash Knives...I hold one of the top ten largest "private" collections of Ash knives in the world. I found this particular one from a collector who owned it for about a year and decided it just wasn't his style of knife, and I got it for a song! You can find this same pattern from Ash dealers on Ebay, Etsy, and other places like these, but in limited handle materials - mostly Walnut or Micarta. This is the first and only buffalo horn I have seen - so it was now or never to purchase.
another beauty lars! elongated brass knuckle guard and horn are sweet.
