The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
The Tsavo Bowie, a rugged knife for a rugged place. Tsavo (saw-vo) is the region best known for the two lions that attacked and killed workers at Tsavo, Kenya during the building of the Uganda-Mombasa Railway in East Africa in 1898. Watch the movie The Ghost and the Darkness and imagine yourself there wielding this knife in the bush!
Exotic in both design and materials, the Tsavo features an elegant drop point blade with a long straight cutting edge and a 90 degree spine. The mixed medium handle of Cape buffalo horn and walnut is framed by a brass guard and pommel.
