That would be one huge Oak tree! As I know Oak trees grow much slower than these Douglas Fir's do. I'll bet its every bit of 400+ years old.
We had a huge oak tree on our farm in Southeast Missouri. In 1976 it was declared a bicentennial tree. It was estimated to be at least 400 years old. As I picture it in my mind, it would have to be about six feet in diameter.
LOL, John your trees remind me of home. Ga has some nice ones but there is nothing compared to the size they grow in northern Ca!
