British Pattern 1841 Sappers & Miners Heavy Bayonet

This is the heavy-duty East India Company (EIC) Pattern 1841 Sappers & Minors bayonet made in India about 1843 for the caliber .733 Pattern 1841 Sappers and Miners Carbine. The EIC design is a cruder version of the British produced designs of the same bayonet, and without all the War Department inspection marks.

As with any company - production costs must remain low to ensure profitablity.
