These include service marks from Enfield Royal Small Arms Factory, Birmingham R.S.A.F. inspection mark, the Birmingham R.S.A.F. repair mark, and a few others still to be identified, along with service dates up to 1894.

Well it does have a history. It's also able to tell some of it also.
Ha! You may be on to something there JJ....it does have two Crown over BR marks on it, meaning that it was repaired twice by the Birmingham R.S.A.F. repair shop. Nah...British pride wouldn't allow that to happen. :-)

Id almost wonder if all these wouldn't weaken it.
