Over the past couple of years, Case and I haven't exactly seen eye-to-eye. I've bought some of their knives...particularly the Back Pocket series...and have been pretty disappointed in the quality (or lack of).

Still, given that my relationship with Case dates back decades...to when I was but a young lad. My father's favorite pocket knife was a Barehead Slimline Trapper. And so my relationship with Case is not one easily broken.

Enter October of 2011. I decide to see how Case is doing as of late...by buying the Swayback shown in this photo (made for Kinfolks). I'm impressed. This is one nice little knife. From the jigging on the bone scales to the overall fit and finish of the knife...all very well done. In fact, this little blade has a nice half-stop and came razor sharp right out of the box. This is a small folding knife...best suited to light-duty tasks and would make an ideal gentleman's knife for the office environment.
