Thanks!  This one is sweet.  According to Jeff, he bought the micarta way back in the 70s from Angus-Campbell in California (where Bob Loveless was buying his micarta at the time).  Over those 40 some years, the color has aged to this wonderful orangish brown.  He also "under-bladed” the spine of the blade (as was done with many of the old Sheffield knives) so it sits slightly lower than the top surface of the back spring in the open position.  Here is a pic showing this:
