Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Saw this at Walmart when I was picking up some extra paracord, the other day. It's a crap "Ozark Trails" knife, with a crappier sheath, BUT it came with a paracord grip. I couldn't resist picking it up to practice wrapping on.

Someone needs to show those Chinese how to neaten up their "Stryder" wrapping though.

DLK,  removed the insert (darn sure I wasn't gonna use the sheath) and decided that if see how it would look wrapped.

First attempt using some craft store paracord.

Came out way too thick and I wasn't pleased.  Took it off and gutted the cord.

Much better IMO.

DLK,  just for you...

The plastic insert may be the best part.

The cut out areas provide a bit of friction to hold the knife, some.  I'm actually considering some form of modification and/or wrap and to use it without the sheath.  Like I said, the sheath is terrible.

The fire steel works well though.

Price was hopefully right.  And at least there's a plastic sheath insert you could potentially remove & use on its own!  And a fire steel too...

What I really appreciate here, JJ, is how the focus of your purchase was the paracord wrapped handle, & the blade was such an afterthought that you didn't even show it!  I hope it serves your purposes well.
