DLKG - I really haven't had much of a chance to use it, other than a couple of times in my garden. Yes, the blade is replaceable. I think it is better suited for use in the high bush areas, which I have not been in much. If I get a chance to use it more, I will let you know how it does. Thanks for asking.

Jeremy -- are you still using this machete?  If so, how's it holding up?  If not, did it fail?  Or did you just move to bigger & better things (like the many heavy duty pieces you now have)?  Is that blade replaceable?
