Jeremy -- that's a really cool little kit, & a really cool little knife!  That was a pretty serious modification too, looks like a whole new knife was made from an old hickory blade.  I love compact fixed blades like that, but these days they're often way too thick to slice well, or they're made of junk steel.  The Old Hickory blade solves both of those problems!

I've fallen in love with fatwood, especially fatwood feather sticks (burn better than a match).  

Is that steel wool in there?  Just make sure not to store a battery in that kit.  :)  But I assume you carry some sort of flashlight in the woods...  Man, this little kit is awesome.

DLKG - It is an Old Hickory blade that has been cut down to make a mini knife. There is a guy in Texas who makes all kinds of them. I haven't asked where he gets all of the blades yet. We did a little trading and this was part of what I got in the deal. I am very happy with it.
