OK...not even close man.

So I dig the knife, and I admire your carving skills, but it appears your drawing ability WITHOUT distortion needs a little work. I mean really....we obviously didn't stand a chance at guessing this one right.

But I gotta tell ya - it sure was fun trying! Thanks for playing!!  :-D

Drum rolllllllllllllllllllllll....

Kizer Little River Bowie

It was the (now discontinued) Kizer Little River Bowie!

And yes, I added a bit to both the guard & the beak at the pommel, and widened the knife overall.  But I actually traced this knife onto the pumpkin first, & modified the design for effect from there.

Y'all are very creative -- this is a great group!

Well...

The knife I used for the primary drawing is actually in my photos.  BUT that was just the initial modeling, & I have to say the carving really looks very little like the knife I started from...

So...

I'll get back to you on this!  :)

Indeed - that's what I was talking about...I just didn't think of the phrasing like you did to explain it better. Nicely done. So.....what knife did he use for the upright in the 'K'?

I've stepped through his 440 photos only to identify 440 "Nope, not that one....". Eh...there maybe a couple of close considerations if we consider his carving skills to be poor enough to make it fit the knife, but since I think he's better than that, that's not a good approach either.

See? This why it's important to post a photo of EVERY knife you own....not just the pretty ones!  :-D

Is the shape of the upright in the 'K' a clue?

OK - so the next contest needs to be something like..."What knife model was used to carve out the K in this pumpkin?"

I'm gonna say something like....SZCO Bobcat Skinner. But I don't think you would drop a coin on anything SZCO, so lemme see here, gonna have to give this one some thought. I'll get back to you on this one!
