Yeah, the G10 handle is kinda rough, there's a lot of sharpish / rough edges all around. It seems to follow traditional European dagger rules, where handle retention is prioritized over comfort. But then there's no guard, so...
This was designed by James Williams, the same guy that designed the CRKT Hissatsu. His theory is that guards aren't necessary because the thumb should always cap the butt of the knife when performing a stab. One problem with this approach is that it focuses on overhead or reverse-grip thrusting to the detriment of standard forward-grip thrusting. And then there's the fact that this makes for a more problematic EDC or outdoors/hunting knife because the grip has so much friction that the user is really much less likely to want to use it because of the discomfort that will occur easily.
But man, it's still a really cool knife. It's really hard not to love that blade!
OK...so what is this one? Not sure about the handle yet, but that blade design is wicked cool.
