thanks all
DLKG,
You hit the nail on the head as to why I asked that. I could seriously see injuring myself in the open/close process with it. I am glad to know that after a learning curve that would no longer be a concern and the knife could be enjoyed for the beauty it is
I really like this knife! I had a period where I was unable to open it without my right ring finger getting close to the top squared-off tip. It's very sharp, & I had a couple pretty decent lacerations from it.
I stopped using it for a while, then picked it back up. It's one of very few knives that I own with horn handle scales. In the time since, I somehow changed how I open the knife & haven't had even any close calls. This is one of my favorite knives, for many reasons, both personal & objective.
It could likely be used much harder than I use it, but I really have no desire to push it out of its comfort zone, & I have no problem babying it. I really, really like this knife, & I especially like the one that I own.
Tim,
Have you used this one or a blade like it?
