Custom Made D-2 Steel Boot Knife Burl Maple 1

*SG-56W Custom HANDMADE D-2 DIE steel FULL TANG HUNTING knife/BURL WOOD/60HRC, BLACK LEATHER SHEATH, (Overall Length 8”, Blade Length 4”, Handle Length 4", This is a full tang MATT finished approximately 3.5mm thick, D-2 DIE steel knife WITH ROCK SOLID HARDNESS OF 60 HRC. The blade was hardened up to 63HRC(+ or - 2), then tempered down to 60HRC(+ or - 2), The hardening process is done in an automatic and controlled environment with the help of a vacuum oven for heating and Nitrogen gas for quenching. Before tempering hardness ranges from 62 to 64 HRC. and after tempering hardness become 59 to 61 HRC. Handle is made of BURL WOOD with PINS. Wood is cured/stabilized and made water resistant with a special treatment.

Great looking boot knife Tim. You don't see a lot of boot knives around, but i sure enjoy seeing a nice one like this one.
