Hi John,

Well on this one the blade is dated Oct. 1979 as a gift to 'Steve', so I assumed..IIsakki has a website so maybe they can better answer your question.

Craig- Beautiful knife set- Just wondering how you dated it??- I have a IIsakki Jarvenpaa horsehead puuko from I believe, circa WWII based on the 2 combat knives I received from the same person who gave them to me-- Still, with much research, just a guess on the IIsakki Jarvenpaa.
