It's extremely hard, great for HRC 64 and above tools and Jibiki which is polishing the soft differentially hardened portion of swords, it's too hard to polish the "Hamon" and would instead create unwanted scratches which would hide much of the molecular activity at the tempering line.

Is this stone soft ???
