Mighty fancy...down right beautiful!
Beautiful pieces both Les! Like your display case too.
Glad you like them. The production EK's went for about 300 if you check out ebay you can find one for about 150 they are great knives I have about 20 of them in my collection and they are great to use the balance is perfect and the steel holds up. My favorite is the bowie but they have a Fairburn Stykes that I got just as they closed that is a really smooth handling knife with checker board wood grips sweet knife.
Les, it's a beautiful knife, fersure! I only wish that I had the disposable income to take it off your hands. I have long admired the Ek knives and their fighting tradition throughout all of the wars of my generation. But the truth is that I don't collect very many fixed blade knives. That doesn't stop me from drooling over them. I hope you find a buyer for this beauty. I'm not that guy, though. Thanks, again!
The M4 dagger sold for 300 and the M5 sold for 400 in 1991 - I am willing to sell to a fellow member for 400 or equivalent trade. No point in me having two but the seller wouldn't break the set.
Thanks for the quick response. And, thanks also for your offer on the dagger. I'm sure it would be way above my paygrade. lol They are beautiful, though.
And the Bowie does not have an edge as the daggers do. I think because of all of the blade work they decide not to sharpen the bowie.
Also they were made in 1991.
