I love the sub-hilt Bowie, so when Elk Ridge produced an affordable one, I just had to pick one up. The knife is fantastic while the accompanying canvas sheath is beyond cheesy. Actually, it's down right insulting. So I upgraded to the leather sheath I show with it. I look at it like adding custom wheels to my car...a needed delight!
Now I have an Elk Ridge sub-hilt Bowie with an attitude.

That leather sheath brings this Elk Ridge to a whole new level, one that I'm guessing it's ready for. I don't own any Elk Ridge knives, but that might have to change real soon, especially at those price points...
Yep. I agree with you. That original sheath leaves a lot to be desired.
