I ordered mine anhydrous .. a dry powder ..

Couldn't store it long in a jar .. ate the lids off .. stored it double sealed, dual heavy duty ziplocks, top cabinet, way up out of way (kids in the house at the time) .. some months after reg use .. discovered every metal object in the cabinet corroded/oxidized/damaged .. Fe hinges to Cu ckt board to 45 cal Pb balls .. what a mess !!

Thank you Dale, I really love the random patterns I get with cable.
I used ferric chloride in high school to etch circuit boards as well, I never thought then what I would be using if for now, you can still get it at Radio Shack.

Sweet pattern !! I can see the ends/edges of the cable strands .. too cool !!

You post some interesting pics Daniel !!

.. just an aside .. my first exposure to ferric chloride .. etching ckt boards in college .. it has a rather high affinity for Cu ..
