Shown here is a new addition to the family; an Axe from Fox. This particular axe's design was inspired by a tool that was used during Rome's heyday. This nifty little companion is made in Italy. The workmanship is nice...the axe is very clean. This isn't a heavy duty axe...though it will probably handle most duties short of cutting down trees. It is light and will ride easily with my pack. The main reason that I bought it is the design; I have a major affinity for the shape, and ergonomics of this particular style.

Those old Roman guys knew a lot about axes. Looking forward to seeing some chopping pix. If you find some real fatwood wherever you live, I'll trade you a few roughly 1x1x6" pieces from my place in Cut and Shoot, Texas.
