Button lock auto .. open frame .. top view. The sear pin engages a full 1/3 the thickness of the blade. Flush mount button design .. safe .. yet smooth release.
Re: blade steel hardness .. I just took a file to the blade .. dulled the file. That's hard enough to hold an edge .. and then some.
